Jeffrey C. Philibert
Dr. Jeff Philibert earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Minnesota in 1995 graduating Cum Laude. After an internship in small animal medicine and surgery at The Veterinary Specialists of Rochester, NY, he completed a three-year residency in comparative oncology at Purdue University. He has been board certified in Oncology by the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine since 2001.
Dr. Philibert joined the staff at Angell Memorial Animal Hospital in Boston MA in 1999 prior to becoming a founding partner and staff oncologist at the New England Veterinary Oncology Group (NEVOG) in Waltham, MA from 2001 – 2016. During his tenure at NEVOG, Dr. Philibert was directly involved in training of numerous oncology residents, assisting them in becoming board certified members.
Since 2012 Dr. Philibert has been practicing in the Greater Portland Maine area, establishing himself as resource for the veterinary hospitals of the region, both in client Oncology referrals as well as via continuing education to the veterinary professionals of the state of Maine. During his time in practice, Dr. Philibert has been involved in several collaborative research projects and seminal drug clinical trials with a passion for bringing these “cutting edge” opportunities to the pet owning clientele of the region.
Dr. Philibert has been a resident of Maine since 2016 with his wife, three children and numerous pets. When not pursuing Oncology, Dr. Philibert is an active member of and sits on the Board of Directors of Scarborough Fish and Game Association, enjoys hiking, fishing, and hunting the North Woods of Maine, as well as spending time at Pine Point Beach.
