Dr. Christina Olsen graduated from the University of Vermont with a major in Animal Science and minor in Chemistry before pursuing her veterinary degree at Massey University in New Zealand. After working as a general practitioner in Connecticut for two years she completed a specialty internship in Emergency and Critical Care at the University of California Davis Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital. She continued working for the UC Davis Veterinary Emergency Department for several years before returning to the east coast. She spent some time working in the Tufts Small Animal Emergency Department before moving north and settling in Maine.
Dr. Olsen loves working in emergency medicine and strives to provide quality medicine and compassionate care for her patients. Her particular interests include acid/base and electrolyte abnormalities, as well as shock and CPR.
When not at work Dr. Olsen enjoys spending time with her family, including two dogs Badger and Liesl, and three cats Clementine, Jeeves and Pandora. Her hobbies include travel, SCUBA diving, numerous craft projects and reading.
